The veneer may be removed repeatedly to make adjustments until the fit and appearance is perfect. Your teeth will then be cleaned, polished, and etched to ensure a strong bond. Finally, veneers are fitted permanently using a special type of cement. A light beam is applied to activate chemicals in the cement that help them harden quickly. You’ll likely be given a follow-up appointment date, so your dentist can check the health of the gum tissues around your new veneers.
